Feed Geelong Soup Kitchen – Every Thursday in October
Join us each Thursday from midday in the Lt Malop Street Mall and in our new pop up Soup Kitchens at King of the Castle Pakington Street West Geelong and Deakin Waterfront Kitchen (upstairs) as we raise valuable funds for the Feed Geelong Appeal.
We are looking for volunteers to help serve at our pop up soup kitchens. Volunteers would be required to assist between from 1-3 hours between 11:30am-2pm on Thursday’s in October.
Geelong College Carnival – Saturday 10th October, 2.00pm-6.00pm
- Manning information tent:
o Signing up people to Riverfest ‘Race the 8;
o Selling Feed Geelong wristbands; and providing general information on Give Where You Live/Feed Geelong.
Geelong Riverfest – Sunday 11th October – Varying times Volunteer Opportunities include:
- Information tent: Signing in volunteers, signing up Race the 8 entries, general questions – Any time from 9.00am – 4.00pm
- Parking Attendant: Managing the entry/exit point for vehicles 7.30am – 5.30pm
- Marshall: entry/exit points, along the banks – Any time from 9.00am – 4.00pm
- Race the 8: This is the one we need lots of help with:
o Starting Line Info tent – signing people up, handing out their bibs, information – from 1.30pm – 2.30pm
- Marshalling – Start line, along the track and finish line – 2.15pm – 3.15pm
