Community Lab Convenor

An exciting opportunity exists to join the Give Where You Live Foundation, a highly respected not-for-profit, philanthropic organisation based in Geelong. The Community Lab Convenor will have the ability to shape the creation of a significant priority for the Foundation’s strategy, establishing a regional Community Lab and supporting the development of our commitment and practice of codesign.

The Community Lab Convenor will bring key stakeholders together, and facilitate planning, problem-solving and codesign processes to better understand key issues impacting our region, and to test and trial new ideas. The role requires a unique set of skills which can bring people together around purpose and principles and support the delivery of priority projects which enable the Foundation to increase impact across the G21 region.

The role will support the Foundation to be bold, try something new, and to work collaboratively with partners to achieve mutually agreed outcomes. Facilitation, convening, and strong relationship management skills are required for the role to succeed, along with demonstrated experience in experimenting, innovating, evaluating, strategic thinking and design. An ability to sit with uncertainty and supporting and leading others through it, will be key to the role, helping to build perspectives, identify patterns and supporting others to build connections.
