Advocacy & Research

Advocacy and research are two important aspects of the work the Foundation undertakes.

As a community foundation, we advocate for service-delivery organisations and leverage our position in the community to advocate for reform and funding for local initiatives.

Research is the core of all the work the Foundation undertakes. We are constantly assessing the needs of our region, the impacts of the work we are undertaking and ways to best address the need going forward.

Home Truths: Local insights into homelessness

The following research explores how service providers in Greater Geelong can better support people facing homelessness. Five key ‘Home Truths’ were identified from the research, highlighting priority areas for systemic improvement across the region. Together, these insights reflect the need for coordinated, place-based responses to the complex drivers of homelessness.
