Throughout August and September, the 2018 team of Loaned Executives have been visiting Geelong workplaces to present the Foundation’s work and explain how by signing up to Workplace Giving, those most in need in our community can be supported.

We thank these 25 local employees who have donated their time to be a Loaned Executive this year and the businesses who have supported them in collectively raising in excess of $100,000 in additional Workplace Giving contributions – the second highest in the 50 year history of the program.

Introduced in 1966, the Loaned Executive Program relies on community-minded businesses to ‘loan’ a valued employee to represent the Give Where You Live Foundation. This year’s team of 25 Loaned Executives:
• Delivered over 40 presentations to businesses across the region
• Received 361 new pledges of support for the Give Where You Live Foundation and
• Thanked 200 participating Give Where You Live Foundation Workplace Giving businesses and close to 4,000 current donors

Each year the Gordon Murray Award is awarded annually to a Loaned Executive who demonstrates exemplary commitment to the role. It is named in honour of the late Gordon Murray, one of the founders of Give Where You Live Foundation when he helped bring the concept of a Community Chest to Geelong. This year, the award was presented to Matt Stewart of Barwon Water.

Thanks to all supporting organisations, our Loaned Executive volunteers and Program supporters E&S, Lightbulb Training Solutions, McHarry’s Buslines and Waurn Ponds Estate.
