More than 130 golfers from close to 40 local businesses will tee off for the community at the sold out 34th e&s Golf Classic to raise funds for the Give Where You Live Foundation.
Being held on Friday 13 February at Curlewis Golf Club, the event promises fun and fundraising for the Foundation, an organisation that has been an important part of the Geelong community since 1954.
The e&s Golf Classic is an integral part of the Foundation’s fundraising efforts and CEO, Give Where You Live Foundation, Zac Lewis, said the event typically raises over $100,000 each year.
“The annual e&s Golf Classic continues to be a highlight on the Foundation’s events calendar, with golfers from a range of local businesses coming together to enjoy a great day out on the course, while also raising vital funds for the Foundation to support our community.”
“Since its inception in 1992 this remarkable event has raised over $2.3 million for the Geelong community. We look forward to welcoming so many supporters to join in the fun and raise money for those that need it most in our region,” he added.
Being played at Curlewis Golf Club, one of Australia’s top 100 golf courses, the 18 hole competition is set to be exciting with a range of great prizes up for grabs including a brand-new Rex Gorell Skoda valued at $49,990 in the hole in one competition.
Proceeds from the e&s Golf Classic will support the Give Where You Live Foundation’s work to help create a fairer community, through a focus on food security, homelessness assistance and inclusive employment across the Geelong region.
“We’re working hard to create a fairer Geelong and we can only do that with the support of our community. The amazing efforts of all of our sponsors, prize donors and participants will help those most in need in our community. Thank you,” Zac Lewis said.
