After state government funding was not renewed for Northern Futures, a not for profit organisation that provides support and training for employment in Geelong’s northern suburbs, the Give Where You Live Foundation led a fundraising campaign to secure the organisation’s future.
Together with GeelongPort, community support achieved over $75,000 in donations. These funds will sustain Northern Futures until the end of the 2023-2024 financial year, and allow them to design a sustainable business model for the future.
Andrew Palmer, CEO of Northern Futures extended his gratitude for the support. “Our gratitude goes to the Give Where You Live Foundation for your generous donation and fundraising support. Your commitment to Northern Futures was instrumental in us achieving an excellent result with the fundraising campaign. Without your support Northern Futures would not have been able to continue delivery of intensive advisory support and mentor-supported training to individuals in Victoria’s most disadvantaged postcode.”
