Give Where You Live held its annual Connections in Philanthropy Day in August. Attendees included representatives from local, state and national Trusts and Foundations, as well as local community service
organisations. The event provided a window to some of the issues confronting the Geelong region and some of the innovative Give Where You Live funded programs responding to these challenges with unique local
knowledge and solutions.
The event also provided an opportunity for local community service organisations (including members of the Geelong Grant Seekers Network) with a “beyond the website” opportunity to learn about the grantmaking priorities and processes of the attending Trusts and Foundations.
Give Where You Live would like to thank representatives from the Australian Institute for Grants Management (a part of Our Community), The R E Ross Trust, The Myer Foundation and Sidney Myer Trust, The Jack Brockhoff Foundation, The Percy Baxter Charitable Trust managed by Perpetual, the Dawn Wade Trust and Equity Trustees for attending and sharing their knowledge on the day.
