A record breaking1550 trekkers will experience community spirit, fitness, and fundraising along one of Victoria’s most breathtaking coastal trails on Saturday 9 May, with the iconic Surf Coast Trek.
In a first for Victoria’s most beautiful walk, tickets for the 2026 trek have sold out. Now in its 11th year, the Surf Coast Trek is a cornerstone event for community fundraising in the Geelong region, with every step contributing to creating a stronger, fairer, and more inclusive community.
Funds raised support programs that truly change lives, from providing children and families with vital therapy services at Kids+, to helping people in need access food relief, homelessness assistance and opportunities to build a better future with the Give Where You Live Foundation. Fundraising helps the Give Where You Live Foundation and Kids+ deliver these essential services right here in our region.
The 1550 participants will walk the 37km challenge from Aireys Inlet to Torquay, or the 23km route from Anglesea to Torquay, trekking along stunning beaches and cliff tops, finishing in Torquay. With breathtaking ocean views on one of Victoria’s most scenic coastal trails, this unique and rewarding event delivers for the community on so many levels.
Zac Lewis CEO of Give Where You Live Foundation said, “The Surf Coast Trek is a unique event that brings together fitness, fun, and fundraising. Every dollar raised directly supports local programs, helping children, families, and people in need. It’s inspiring to see the generosity and energy of everyone involved, and to know that together, participants are not just walking the beautiful Surf Coast trail, they are helping to build a fairer, more inclusive community.”
Shaun Cannon, CEO of Kids+ said, “The Surf Coast Trek is such a great community event and it’s inspiring to welcome so many new participants. The positive energy and generosity of everyone involved will make a real difference to the work we do at Kids+.”
With the event now sold out, trekkers are encouraged to continue their fundraising and step up for the community. Together, every step and every dollar raised helps to create a stronger, fairer and more inclusive community.
