Recent grant recipient Streetside Medics dropped past the Give Where You Live Foundation office to show off their clinic van that delivers essential services to people in crisis.
The weekly mobile GP clinic provides free healthcare to people experiencing homelessness and operates from The Outpost on a Sunday night.
The newly launched service in Geelong provides essential medical supplies, breaks down barriers to care, and helps prevent avoidable health crises. Most importantly, it ensures people experiencing homelessness in Geelong are met with consistent, compassionate and dignified healthcare when they need it most.
Give Where You Live Foundation staff were given a tour of the van and chatted with Street Side Medics volunteers who staff the much needed service. We are proud to fund this important service for the Geelong community.
