Thanks to the Committee for Geelong, we were proud to have been a part of the 2025 Leaders for Geelong program with the team of participants working on strengthening and future proofing our Community Choice voucher program.
The Leaders for Geelong Program explores what it means to lead with and for our region, and we were delighted to have been involved for the second year running.
This year’s cohort of Geelong leaders presented their findings on five community projects of regional significance to a full room at Kardinia Park Stadium during the Project Presentation Breakfast.
Big thanks is extended to the project team who provided excellent insights for our voucher program and gave us valuable recommendations to enhance the program’s reach for a fairer Geelong community.
Sally Edgerton, Give Where You Live Foundation’s Food Security and Homelessness Assistance Lead, said that the group’s report bought energised perspectives to Community Choice. “Their final report and presentation bought thoughtful recommendations, and a shared passion, and clarity, as to how this program can continue to offer dignity and real choice to those facing challenges in our community.”
