The team from Betty’s Laneway Cafe are closing the doors to their Whittington cafe for a new adventure as Betty’s Laneway Craft Collective.
Big shout out and thanks to Bev and Bonnie from Betty’s Laneway for all they have brought to our Community Choice voucher program over many years.
Their original café at Apollo Place in Whittington was one of the first to come on board as part of the Community Choice voucher program, a welcoming place for people to redeem their vouchers. When the cafe re-opened as Betty’s Laneway in Wilsons Road, Whittington we were thrilled to still have their café as a place community members could access food.
But not only food was on offer at Betty’s Laneway. Their renewed focus on connection and community gave our Community Choice program a place where we knew whoever walked through the door would be welcomed and offered a sense of belonging.
Bev and Bonnie, we are so grateful for you both and the beautiful atmosphere you created for community members that visited your café – 54 locals have been supported by vouchers redeemed in your café.
Jenn from the Give Where You Live Foundation visited Bonnie and Bev, from Betty’s Laneway last week and presented them with a gift of native plants from The Paddock to thank them for their incredible support.
