About the Role
As a Program Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in supporting impactful initiatives that address the critical issues of food security and homelessness in our community. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and innovative thinker who can bring together community organisations, businesses, service providers, and other key stakeholders to deliver effective solutions.
Responsibilities
- Engage with local communities and social sector organisations to understand their needs, challenges and aspirations.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with social sector organisations, local businesses, government agencies and other stakeholders.
- Plan and facilitate workshops, training sessions and events to promote food security and homelessness assistance.
- Collaborate with strategic advisory groups, community organisations, businesses and government representatives to address the needs of people experiencing food insecurity and insecure shelter.
- Support the design and delivery of grants and initiatives aimed at improving food security and homelessness assistance for those facing systemic barriers.
- Support a number of inclusive initiatives and grants, including the Foundation’s Community Choice initiative, monitoring their effectiveness and making necessary adjustments to ensure progress toward goals.
- Stay informed about current trends, research and best practices in food security and homelessness assistance to enhance the Foundation’s efforts.
We’re seeking a motivated and collaborative individual who is passionate about social impact. The ideal candidate will have experience in community engagement, program development and partnership building. You should be comfortable working with diverse groups, including multicultural communities, youth, single parents and other vulnerable populations.
