The Give Where You Live Foundation is excited to present its third Conversations that Matter event on Friday 7 June 2024 in the President’s Room at GMHBA Stadium.
Proudly presented on Wadawurrung Country by Community Care Chemist, at this year’s Conversations That Matter event, the Foundation has invited Stan Grant to share his insights and dedication to finding new ways for us to meet each other beyond our differences.
Give Where You Live Foundation CEO, Bill Mithen said the Foundation was looking forward to providing a platform for the community to hear directly from Stan Grant at the 2024 event.
“The Give Where You Live Foundation launched Conversations That Matter in 2022 to encourage conversations on issues that matter to our community, to raise issues that can be difficult to talk about and create positive change.”
“At this year’s event, we want to focus on how communities and societies can have respectful, informed and meaningful conversations.”
“As a celebrated journalist, author, moral philosopher, thinker, and communicator, Stan Grant has consistently demonstrated how to navigate and engage in challenging conversations with respect and integrity. I’m very excited to listen and learn from Stan when he comes to Geelong and encourage the community to join the Foundation and share in this important conversation.”
Conversations That Matter launched in 2022 with 2021 Australian of The Year Grace Tame and continued with Nova Peris OAM OLY in 2023 with the theme of reconciliation. The series of events have been designed to start discussions in our community that will, in line with the Foundation’s mission, help create an equitable, fairer G21 region.
Together with presenting partner Community Care Chemist, sponsoring the lunch time event is Worksafe Victoria, GMHBA and TAC.
Tickets are $130 per person or $1250 for a table of 10 and are available to purchase on the Give Where You Live website https://www.givewhereyoulive.com.au/events.
