Our Board

The Give Where You Live Foundation is governed by a voluntary Board of Directors, representative of a cross section of community interests, including industry, commerce and the professions.

Giving their time freely, the Board Directors contribute a wealth of business knowledge and experience.

The Board provides a governance framework for the organisation and guiding the Foundation.

With over 25 years accounting experience, Daleene is currently the Partner responsible for Business Management at Patrick Rowan & Associates.

Daleene holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Deakin University), CPA Public Practice Certificate and is a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Hugo is a lawyer at Harwood Andrews advising on commercial transactions, commercial contracts and in the charity and not-for-profit sector.

Hugo holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of International Studies (majoring in Chinese) from Deakin University.

Chris has an extensive career within the entrepreneurial and IT industries, as the former CEO and Director of Evologic. Chris holds a Bachelor of Applied Science – Microprocessor Applications

 

 

Lesley Lightfoot Board member Give Where You Live Foundation
Lesley LightfootBoard Member

Building on 25 years experience in the Education and Community Services sectors, Lesley joined the Foundation in 2008. She worked in various roles including Grant Making , GROW and as the Director of Learning  and Culture until her retirement in 2021.  She holds a Bachelor of Education, Graduate Diploma of Family Therapy and Masters of Social Work. She joined the Board in 2022.

Claire is the Business and Community Liaison for the Hon. Richard Marles, Member for Corio and Deputy Prime Minister of Australia.

Claire holds a Bachelor of Arts International Studies from Deakin University.

Marsha Uppill
Marsha Uppill

Proud Adnyamathanha Woman, Marsha Uppill is the Co-Founder and Director of Arranyinha Pty Ltd.

With three decades of experience across government, community and industry, she weaves First Nations knowledge systems with Western structures to drive meaningful strategic and systems change. Her work spans governance, Aboriginal affairs, social inclusion, workforce reform and cultural design. Guided by cultural respect and self-determination, Marsha builds spaces where collaboration, truth-telling and relational accountability lead to real outcomes. She connects, engages and inspires people to walk with purpose now, so future generations can thrive.

Alice Faulkner
Alice Faulkner

As Executive Director of Faculty Services at Deakin University, Alice leads the division responsible for administration across all four faculties. Over her 30-year career at Deakin, Alice has held more than a dozen roles, including senior leadership positions in the Faculties of Health and Arts & Education, and played a key role in major organisational transformations. Alice was born and raised in Geelong and attended Corio Technical School (now Northern Bay College).  Alice is currently a board member on the Deakin Residential Services Board and is excited to be joining the Give Where You Live Board to contribute more to the Geelong community.

Rosie King
Rosie King OAM

Following a successful career in executive leadership, Rosie has established a consultancy practice that focuses on assisting organisations to perform at their very best.  Rosie has been awarded an OAM in the Queen’s Birthday Honours for her contribution to sport administration and has also been inducted to the Victorian Honour Roll for Women.

Rosie is a strong advocate for equity for women’s sport and was awarded the Victorian Sports Administrator of the year. A Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Rosie is currently Director of Bowls Australia, Bellarine Bayside Committee of Management and was thrilled to join the Give Where You Live Foundation.
