Encompass Community Services developed the Wynners Women’s Social Group to assist in nurturing, empowering and providing women with a reason to smile through building a social connection during the Covid-19 crisis.
Thanks to your generosity the Foundation was able to provide Encompass with a grant of $10,000 to assist in the establishment of the Wynners program. The program aims to build community connections for women from various backgrounds, building social contact, increasing self-esteem and working to formalise aspiration and life goals.
As a result of Covid-19, many of the women identified that they were feeling particularly lonely and felt their mental health ‘slipping’ and that they required assistance to engage with others and develop new relationships to satisfy that need that we all have – to connect with others.
