Volunteer Week (9th - 15th May 2011)
One of Give Where You Live's Community Partners, Vision Australia, held a "High Tea" afternoon tea to thank all the Belmont Vision Radio volunteers. This was a good chance for some of Vision Australia's most outstanding volunteers to be thanked, including retired taxi driver Bernie Hansen who has kept up his skills as a driver for those suffering low-vision impairment. Bernie is one of the 5 million Australians who offer time - whether it be one hour a week or month - volunteering. At Give Where You Live, we are always looking for volunteers as well and would welcome any expressions of interest.
